We are expanding and are now seeking an experienced Estimator to join our projects team.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Projects Division. You’ll support a busy pipeline of projects.
You will collaborate closely with our Project Manager, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure strong pricing, smooth handovers, and efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, trade breakdowns, and labour/material assessments for multi-trade projects
- Develop pricing from early-stage or minimally detailed scopes, applying sound judgement and trade expertise
- Complete site assessments to confirm scope, risks, access and measurements
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to source competitive pricing
- Prepare clear, professional quotations, BOQs and cost summaries
- Maintain accurate pricing databases, rate sheets and cost references
- Contribute to improving templates, workflows and estimating systems
- Support project handovers and provide cost input during delivery
- Ensure compliance with NCC requirements, VBA guidelines, and relevant Australian Standards
Required Skills and Experience
- 3–5+ years’ experience estimating in trades, construction, fit-out, or property maintenance
- Strong capability preparing multi-trade estimates and analysing labour/material costs
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, site photos and verbal scopes
- High accuracy in measurements, take-offs and cost modelling
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Exposure to estimating or project management software will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and professional presentation
- Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in interpreting and applying NCC and Australian Standards
- A trade background or relevant qualification will be an added advantage
